There are a plethora of images of women and ideas about the body within mass media, but the obsession with youthfulness and physical attractiveness in our society has constructed a paradox of the human being, as getting old is a natural process, which should be embraced rather the hidden, with replacing the elegance and presence of the older women with the images of the young models.
It may challenge older women’s ideas about their identity, but also create a young women’s fear of ageing.
